KINGS OF MACEDON. Perseus, 179-168 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 34 mm, 15.67 g, 12 h), reduced standard, Pella or Amphipolis, circa 173-171. Diademed head of Perseus to right. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ - ΠEΡ-ΣEΩΣ Eagle with spread wings standing right on thunderbolt; above, monogram; to right, monogram of AΥ; between the eagle's legs, monogram of AN; all within oak wreath; in exergue, plow right. Mamroth, Perseus, 19b. A beautifully toned and attractive example with a fine portrait. Some marks on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
